Catering is a relatively new service in Ukraine. Why relative? Because it has existed for about 10 years (which is very short compared to Europe and the United States), since not every resident of the country knows this term, because the culture of catering leaves much to be desired.

The meaning of this service is to provide catering for events outside the usual places (restaurants, cafés). Everything is suitable for this - a platform in the forest, a concert hall, a field, a theatre hall.

Catering arouse out of the active construction of multi-storey buildings in the United States of America at the beginning of the twentieth century. At that time, this service was necessary to organize food for many workers involved in the construction. After the high-rise buildings were populated with various companies' offices, it turned out that the demand for catering remained at a high level, but now organizing meals for office workers and employees of large manufacturing companies has become the main function of this service sector. As a result, the service began to form into a separate industry with a wide variety of services.

Catering is a popular trend in the catering industry.
The term comes from the English verb cater, which can be translated as to please, to cater, or to serve. Today, this service is gradually developing into a separate branch of the catering industry, which is engaged in the provision of services in the field of catering to customers.
